Adventure Stop #1: Grandpa!

first, we drove down to my grandpa's house. he has a boat and a four wheeler, and i got to ride on both! he is a lot of fun!!!

i learned a whole bunch of things at his house. some of them may or may not be true, as my grandpa is a real kidder.

1. there is a lion that lives in the closet. he is a nice lion, as long as you keep the door closed, and he is sleeping. if you open the door, he gets really mad!

2. there is a bomb on the screen door, and if people grandpa does not want in there try to get in, the bomb goes off and scares them!

3. i like my eggs scrambled, but grandpa likes to fry his and then cut the top open and let the yellow egg blood come out.

4. it is polite to wave to the boats when you pass them. when people do not wave, it makes grandpa angry.

i also got to go to the buxtons' house and sit by the fire and throw paperwads in there and roast marshmallows. they have three dogs, sassy, bo, and winston. sassy is a beagle like snoopy! maybe they are related.

on the way out of town, we stopped at the post office where my grandpa works. he took me to the back and weighed me and elisabeth on the big scale. i weigh 42 or 43. elisabeth weighs 14 or 15. mom would not get on that scale for some reason.

here's me dancing on the boat to some classic rock!

Adventure Stop #2: Misty and Larry!

next, we went and stayed at larry and misty's house, while mom learned how to make a quilt for elisabeth.

i liked to run down the sidewalk behind their house and do interpretive dances for my sister, for the dogs, and for whatever else they could think of. here is a picture of me really getting into it.

we also went to family park while we were in town, and i climbed the monkey bars!

they have dogs that are super fun, named abby and pearl. pearl is sugar's sister! i told you about sugar a while back. she is the dog that lives at my grandma and papa's house that you do not hold by the neck. i learned that with pearl, you can not kick her in the head. or you go to time out, and time out is no fun. there are a lot of rules with dogs! but they are really fun to run around with. even though i got in trouble with misty, she is one of my favorite friends!

Adventure Stop #3: Grandma, Pappy, and Nany

next, we drove six whole hours in the car to see my grandparents and nany.
let me tell you some things about these grandparents, so you do not get confused about which ones they are.

grandma is my friend; she colors with me.
pappy throws the shoe. (at the ceiling. long story, ask me about it sometime.)
nany sat in the chair and ate food. (she has a little stash of candy that we eat when we watch tom and jerry!)

on this trip to their house, we went to eat at a restaurant called luigi's. that was pretty exciting to me, because luigi is mario's brother. turns out, he makes good spaghetti.

also, pappy and i played baseball in the yard. here is a picture of him pitching whiffle balls to me. check out my form!

i got a bubble bath from nany and watched cartoons with her, too!

Adventure Stop #4: Cousins!

for our final stop, we went down to see my cousins. there are five of them, and it is a really really really good time to go to their house.

we played with swords. we jumped on the trampoline. i drove isaac down to the pond in the tractor, and then the battery died, so we got stuck! then the new battery made it go super fast, so i could not steer right, and i ran into the fence. nobody got hurt, though. apparently it is just a kids' tractor.

here is a picture of the seven of us! rachel is almost ten, jacob is almost seven, becky is almost six, daniel just turned three, isaac just turned one, and then of course there are my sister and me.

FINALLY, we went home to see daddy at new house in rogers. i had a whole lot of fun on my trip, but i was really really really really super glad to see my dad.

i fell asleep in the car on the way home.
the end.

worst thing EVER

so, i do not know if you can tell from this picture, but i got a hair cut yesterday.

mom put a garbage bag around my neck and taped it there, and she got the clippers going. it was okay for most of the back, but it got close to my ear and made this loud noise, and i flipped completely out. i howled and screamed, and there was snot running out of my nose, and i went to wipe the snot, and i got hair and snot on my hands. the more i wiped, the more hair i got all over the place.

she called my dad so he could talk to me and calm me down, but really it was a trick so she could cut the bottom part and over my ears with scissors while i talked to him. i told dad to not let her cut my neck. she did not cut my neck, but the whole experience was pretty much the worst thing that has ever happened to me. not really, but that is what mom says i acted like. she said she was also afraid that someone was going to call the cops or something, because i sounded like i was being tortured. well, it was torture. maybe calling the cops is not a bad idea. next time i hear the clippers, i am calling 911.

me and my sister

here are a few pictures of me and that little sister i talk about all the time. (i am the one getting gradually more upside down.)
we have a good time. she talks to me and smiles at me a lot, and i help her do her exercises to make her legs strong. mom says ellie might be a catcher someday, while i play short stop. or maybe she will play short, and i will catch.

we got a new van, which is super exciting. it is a lot of room to play and really big windows to look out of.

also our church moved buildings, and i have had a really good time going with dad to the new church a lot and helping "unpack" toys. last week at church we made maps, and i drew the chrysler building on mine!

do not hold sugar by the neck!

we went to see grandma and papa and mine aunt michelle for a few days, and it was a good time. we ate green beans and shrimp and "okla" (or was it broccoli?) and something called "yasanla." this is apparently michelle's favorite. we also played basketball in the yard and rode my new bike and drove to the gas station in the rain and watched cartoons.

this is sugar, my grandma and papa's dog. she is a schnauzer. she is pretty cute, except for when she barks. i request that she be put in her room when she starts yapping, because it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too loud.

happy valentines day!

this is the day for love, they say. as you can see, i love my sister elisabeth. i kiss her all the time. sometimes too much, like when she is sleeping. i can not resist the cheeks. i even nicknamed her "cheeks," and i call her that a lot! that, or "beef." it just sounded funny.

wario!

wario is my best friend! he is very ugly. he is also very angry!
here is me making a wario face. i am pretty good at faces, i must admit.

i am advanced

in many ways, but in this case i am talking technology.

my favorite game on the gamecube, currently, is WarioWare. it is a good time. mom and dad play it with me, and i am almost better than mom. keep that quiet, though, because it makes her a little sad. anyway, if i can not talk them into playing 15 rounds or so, i can play it by myself for all of us. come on, people, this takes talent.

and one day i drew this on the computer. i call this work of art "Cherry Friend."

snow!

snow is cold!
snow is crunchy under your feet!
snow is good to throw at trash cans and garage doors!
snow really can be caught on your tongue, like they do in the charlie brown movie.
snow is super fun, in case you did not already know.

mom and i put on our snow clothes and went outside to play. we ran around and did snow dances and walked really far and pretended it was a race! but along the way, we had to roast some marshmallows. that was my idea. globs of snow make really good pretend marshmallows. if you walk in your old footprints, it is a good time. also, you can't be tracked as easy. mom and dad say i will be even happier about snow when i get older and get to miss school because of it.

here are a few snapshots of snowdancing, and snow megaman, and snow happiness.

hayv

"hayv" is very calm and nice.
"hayv" keeps you out of trouble.
"hayv" is when you do what your mom and dad tell you to do.
mom and dad tell me to be hayv a lot. i tell them that i AM being hayv. they usually do not believe me.

here is a picture from when i hung out with my cousins. daniel is almost my age. he'll be 3 in a couple weeks. becky is 5, and jacob is 6. they have a tree house and everything. i told mom that me and jacob live in the tree house together. that day was a super fun day! mom and dad say maybe i can stay there a WHOLE WEEK in march, if mom and elisabeth go to mississippi for spring break. i hope they do!!! when is march??

also here is a picture from when mom and i took elisabeth for a walk in her new stroller. i helped push, and i told mom when to do yellow light and red light and green light so she would stay out of traffic and not get hit by cars. lucky for her, she beed hayv.

let me tell you another story

there was a little boy named "daddy."
he drived his own tractor.
one day he saw elisabeth.
he said to elisabeth, "let's play together!" and they played.
daddy was a great guy.
he was a super great guy.
and he was huuuuuuuge.
(pretend like you can see my putting my arms out really wide)

the end

i hope you like it. it is a samuel miller original story, by me.
soon i must post my picture that i drew of the family.

more good times

we went to visit my grandpa last weekend! it was too cold to go out on the lake, but we will do that next time. instead, we watched basketball and called the hogs. wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pig sooie! that is fun to do.

oh! here is an update on elisabeth:
she has yellow poop. that is gross. i told mom, and she said that all poop is gross. yellow poop or not, i like her anyway.

elisabeth loves cat food!

she is a cat.

i am just kidding. but that would be pretty funny. grandma thought so, when i told her.

today i was showing elisabeth the controller for the gamecube and explaining it. the arrows make you move, and the green button makes you attack. she looked at me cross-eyed, and then at the wall. but i think some of it sunk in. she will be playing super smash brothers with me when she gets a little older. i figure it is a good thing to start getting her familiar with the controls.

christmas was a good time! actually, it keeps on happening. we had christmas morning with mom and dad and our stockings, then the next day we had christmas presents with my cousins and aunt and uncle and two grandparents and three great grandparents. then the other day my aunt michelle sent us presents in the mail. then yesterday we went to grandma and papa's house and had presents and good food. and this weekend we are going to my grandpa's house! i do not remember christmas lasting forever like this before, but i do not remember much from when i was two or one or zero years old.

among my favorite presents:

a mr. potato head with a corn friend and a carrot friend
an airplane with some little people inside
a light saber
mariokart
a writing computer with word games
a gigantic frog to sit on (he even has a saddle!)

merry Christmas eve!

Christmas is a good time. me and my sister got new stripey pajamas, and we went to grandma and pappy and nany's house! i keep hearing stuff about presents and surprises, but i am not sure when we will get them. all i know is there is candy and cookies all around that i am not supposed to eat instead of dinner, even though they taste better. there are also mysterious gifts in bags downstairs, and also around the tree upstairs. apparently it is not nice to step on the presents.

it is also not nice to lick your sister on the forehead. who knew?

anyway, i hope you have a merry christmas. i plan to.

nose eater

my sister is wearing my hungry caterpillar shirt! i was super little like her one time, and i could fit in this. i do not really remember that, though. i think she is hungry in this picture, since she is trying to eat my nose. you have to be real careful with her head, since it is decilate. that means soft.

also, baths really are a good time. you should not wear your clothes in the bathtub, or they get super wet. i like to take my shirt off like this, because it makes mom laugh. she called me "bathholio," but i do not know what she is talking about.

silver dollar city!

hey people! i went to silver dollar city with dad and amanda kay last weekend! it was a good time. amanda kay is a girl. silver dollar city is this place that you drive to, and there are rides and things to eat and look at. actually, mega man went to silver dollar city. here is a picture of him in his fighting stance.

we rode a lot of things. the frogs were sort of scary, because at certain places, they bounce really a lot, and it is all jerky and weird. but the lady bugs were fun. i rode that one twice.

Friday, December 08, 2006

let me tell you a story.

i tried to go through the tunnel, but i could not, because there was a cow in the tunnel. i smacked the cow, and he was so sad. i spanked him, and i locked the door. he was a mean cow. but the baby cow was nice. i gave him a hug. the end.

i told this story to mom and dad at Monte Ne, where we went to eat chicken and green beans and bread and corn. they did not really understand, even though i repeated it several times. they thought maybe i dreamed that, but really i just like to make up stories.

pac bed!

my grandma and papa brought me a new bed, and i love it! it is big, and it has pac man stuff all over it. mom says those sheets are almost as old as her. my friend britney made me the ghost monster pillow, and also a pac man one to match.

no teeth!

look, my baby sister has no teeth! that is why she can not eat pizza.

also, she has her own blog now. dearelisabeth.blogspot.com

mom has to type it for her, because she can not do it by herself.

us

it is fun to have a baby sister, but you have to be real quiet kind of a lot. she still sleeps a lot and shows no interest in video games. we must remedy this soon.
she did look at mr. potato head for a while today, though. it is a step in the right direction.

here is a picture of us! my best brother tshirt is still being de-stained, so you will have to look at the orange one instead. it has frogs on it!

uncanny!

my friend rhonda sent this picture of me. i thought it was elisabeth at first!

speaking of birthdays...

the day after my birthday, my baby sister was finally born! it sure took her a long time to finally decide to get out of there. she sleeps a whole lot right now, but pretty soon i am going to teach her how to play mega man.

here is a picture of her being silly. she likes to sleep like that, with her hands way up over her head and her hat pulled down over one eye. mom said i did too.

i will get a picture of the two of us together, as soon as mom washes the throw up off of my Best Brother Ever tshirt, so i can wear that. (i got sick last night, but i feel much better now.)

birthdays!

a lot of fun stuff is happening these days. for starters, i am THREE now. i think that is pretty grown up.

i had two parties. i am not sure why i did not get three parties, since i am three years old, but the two i had were pretty fun! the first one was at grandma and papa's house. i helped roll up the crescent rolls, we ate a bunch of turkey, and then we got to eat my pac man cake! mostly i am only interested in the m&ms on top.

a couple days later, we had another party at fun city pizza. this is THE place to go and have a party, in case you are looking for a good place to do that. my grandma and pappy and nany and also mom and dad and brad and britney were there. brad and britney climbed around in the tubes with me, because mom said she did not want to get stuck and have my baby sister in a tunnel. i think that would have been pretty neat, though.

here are some pictures of me blowing out candles! i am pretty good at it, as you can see.

Thursday, November 16, 2006

baby sister

i hope i did not get you too excited with that title. she is not here yet, but mom and dad say it will be very soon. it all happens the day after my birthday. we are going to go to fun city pizza! i am not sure which to be more excited about. i will be three, and i think that is super old. sometimes i like to pretend i will be a baby for my birthday.

i keep trying to coax my sister out. i hug her. i kiss her. i talk to her. i put her toys and clothes under mom's shirt so she can see them. she is in mom's belly still, and man, is that belly getting big. i think i could maybe fit in there, but there is too much fun to be had on the outside. if only baby sis would realize that.

Tuesday, November 07, 2006

last weekend

mom and i went to visit my grandma and papa in clarksville. dad had to go to dallas, so he did not get to go with us. we went up on a mountain and looked at the tiny little trees and stuff on the ground below. the leaves were pretty.

my grandma and papa have a neat cat and dog. the cat is named garfield, and he is sometimes nice and sometimes not. he only swiped at me once, but mom said that is because i was in his face too much and being too super loud. the dog knows how to talk. do not ask me how, but she only does it when my papa is around.

here are some pictures from the mountain! one is of me and my grandma. the other is me explaining how, when donkey kong is up high, he throws barrels down on mario. grandma thinks i play too many video games.

Tuesday, October 31, 2006

happy halloween!

so this is kind of a weird holiday! you dress up like something and beg for candy. i can not complain, though, because i got to be pac man twice, and i got to get lots of good candies to eat.

we went to a party at the church on sunday and also to the big outside mall tonight. there was a costume contest, and nobody could beat macaroni and cheese girl. mom says you do not have to win to be the coolest, though.

here is a picture of me talking to the lady from tv for the contest. she asked lots of silly questions, like if i was pac man. i thought it was obvious!

there is another picture of me just in my costume.

the other picture is some pac mans that i drew. the one with the hat is junior pac man, and there are some little regular pac mans, and the rest are ghost monsters. i think they look neat with teeth!

Wednesday, October 18, 2006

sorry to keep you waiting!

it has been more than a month, i know. sorry! i have been having lots of fun.
but here are three new posts for you, and i will make some more in the next few days, because i want to show you my pac man drawings.

the other day we went to the bug fair! me and mom and jessica. we saw alive bugs and dead bugs. i prefer the alive ones, but the butterflies in the case were really pretty. there were big old beetles and fire ants and i also got to hold a worm. but my favorite things at the whole place were the bees. wow, they were neat. it looked pretty crowded in that place where they live, but the guy said they like it that way, because they stay warm. when i need to get warm, i just put on my hoodie. i think i like my way better.

that last one is me thinking about maybe being entomologist someday. that means "bug toucher" in spanish.

hotels

my grandma and pappy and nany came to visit a couple weeks ago, and they stayed at a hotel. i think hotels are the only place where you are really allowed to jump on the bed with your shoes on. i am not sure why this is. but i did not argue, because it is fun! to add to the fun, the jumping makes my new thomas shoes light up. i really am getting into it here, as you can see. my vertical has also increased several inches. i am not sure if that is because of the bed or the new shoes, but i will take it. hooray for jumping and hooray for new shoes and hooray for visitors, and hooray for rules being different at hotels.

i like those packing peanuts.

some look like the letter S, and some look like the letter E. i also went through a phase of not wanting to wear clothing. i am sort of mostly past that now. mom is happy that i do not try to take off my shirt in public all the time. only sometimes.

slides are good

the other night mom and dad and i went and bought some meat sandwiches from arbys and took them to the park. while we ate, we could hear the high school football game nearby. i think Jesus was the guy that talks. you know, "touchdown Rogers!!" and all that. mom and dad laughed a little when i said so, but it really was him.

my favorite things about parks are the slides. if it has a good slide, it is a good park. this one had two, and one of them was real big. i am not afraid to climb up all those stairs and slide down.

it is also fun to slide if you sing numa numa while you are going down. it sounds all echo-ey and good. as you can see, this is what i am doing in the yellow slide, including the dance moves.
